7th Annual Hungry Duck Run

Location: Start and finish in downtown Brighton on St. Paul just east of Grand River.

Time: Half Marathon (13.1M) at 7:00 AM; 5K Run/Walk at 7:15 AM;

Duckling Dash (10 & under) at 9:30 AM. On Main Street by the Mill Pond.

Course: Varied course starting in downtown Brighton, continuing into local scenic areas and returning downtown for finish. Course is mostly paved with portions on hard-pack dirt roads; mostly flat with a few modest hills to add a little challenge; mostly shaded. Half marathon course will be closed at 9:45 AM.

Entry Fee: Half Marathon: Early - $40; Late - $50

5K: Early - $25; Late - $30

(Early Feb 1 through June 30; Late - after June 30)

Pre-Registration: Online through June 30; mail-in (must be postmarked by June 30); in-person during packet pickup.

Race Day Registration: Start/finish area (St. Paul just east of Grand River) - MUST BE IN LINE BEFORE 6:30 AM.

Packet Pickup: (PRE-RACE) July 2-3 from 12 PM - 7 PM at Runnin’ Gear - 9937 E. Grand River Ave., Brighton, MI (810) 844-0180; (RACE DAY) July 4 from 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM at start/finish area (St. Paul just east of Grand River) MUST BE IN LINE BEFORE 6:30 AM.

Awards (Chip Time): Top men & women overall and Masters; Three Deep (M&W) in all 5 year age categories!:(NOTE: A $30 fee will be charged for timing chips not returned.)

Included with Registration: Timing chip, commemorative gender specific Tech Shirt, huge post race-food spread, goodie bag and entry in Rotary’s Duck Race Raffle ($5 value). Shirts not guaranteed for late entries; late entries will not receive Duck Race Raffle Ticket.

Parking: Available/recommended at Brighton High School to avoid parade route and traffic. Free shuttle service provided by race staff!

Happenings: Brighton Independence Day parade starts at 10:00 AM immediately followed by the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club’s Duck Race raffle (more info on our website).

Why will this year’s race be awesome? Form fitting women’s Tech shirts; Chip timing; sports drink on the course; more food at the finish ; Duckling Dash (10& under kids run); qualifying race for Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness Mackinac Bridge Run and the return of Waddlesworth the Duck !
